CAVALLI, GIAN MARCO (Ital.). Medallist of the sixteenth century, born at Mantua in 1450. He first worked at the court of Mantua, but was called to Hall in Tyrol in 1506. His name appears sometimes in German records as Johannes Marckus de Canalis. B.
