DIDIER (Belg.). Goldsmith of Nancy, under Rene II. of Lorraine (1473-1508). He was entrusted with the preparing of the dies of the Duke's coinage. In 1585, he is mentioned as an Engraver at the Mint of Nancy, and as the son of a certain' Didier, living at Vézelise.
