Medallist and Coin-engraver, born at Copenhagen on the 27th October 1761 ; obtained in 1784 the small silver medal of the Academy of Fine Arts, and in 1787, the large medal. In 1791 he went abroad, where he resided for some years. In 1798 he became a Member of the Academy of Fine Arts of Copenhagen, and in 1800, was elected Royal Medallist to the Copenhagen Mint.
