In medieval and early modern Germany, the Münzmeister ("mint master", the Latin term is monetarius) was the director or administrator of a mint, a moneyer with responsibility for the minting of coins, or specie. His duties were defined differently at different locations and ages.

A native of Einbeck; Mint-master at Leipzig, before 1621; appointed joint Mint-master at Crossen with Basilius Bernhard in 1621 ; incarcerated on October 31., 1623, with Jamnitzer and other colleagues ; released in 1624, but applied in vain for the wardenship of the Ratibor mint in 1625.
