JOUVENEL, ADOLPHE CHRISTIAN (Belg.). Sculptor and Medallist, born at Lille on the 10th May, 1798, died at Brussels on the 9th September, 1867. He was the son of the Sculptor and Medallist Jean Baptiste Clément Jouvenel, and pupil of Rude. In 1846, Jouvenel undertook the publication of a Series of Portrait-medals of the celebrities of his country. This collection was to comprise a first set of 25 bronze medals of 45 mill, in diameter, to be issued one each month at the price of 5 Francs. The pros...

" Jeton de Présence " of the Regency of Antwerp; — 1818, Arms of the Kingdom ; — 1830. Souvenir of the Exhibition of National Industry (jeton) ; — 1846.
