KAUERHASE, MATHIAS (Germ.). Coin-engraver at the Breslau Mint, circa 1572-1627. He cut dies for the coinage of Ducats of the Silesian mining town of Reichstein, struck in the name of Wilhelm von Rosenberg, 1582. By this Engraver are also the following medals : The Engelhart family (2 var.), 1623 ; — Charles II. von Oels, 1615 ; — Raitpfennig of G.
