KOSIN, NICOLAUS (Russ.). Mint-engraver, and Medallist at St. Petersburg, circa 1850; he died in 1867. His productions are usually signed : H. K. Iversen states that Kosin was educated at the Technical Mining School of the St. Petersburg Technological Institute, and was appointed Medallist to the St. Petersburg Mint at the end of the forties.
