LUTEGER (Germ.). ' Sculptor at Altenburg', as he calls himself, cut dies for many Thuringian and neighbouring mints, from 1160 to 1190. He was employed at the mint of Altenburg, which was very active under King Frederick Barbarossa (1152-1192). The diecutter Fuvitiger appears at about the same time at Saalfeld.
