He contributed with Thomas Bernard, Henri Roussel, Joseph Roettier, Jean Mauger, and others, to the Medallic series of Louis XIV. His best works date between 1685 and 1714. His signature is H. "On the 16th Sept. 1465, Hugh Brice, deputy to the Lord Hastings, was desired by the king to take upon him the occupation and keeping of his mints and exchanges, and to have the charge thereof...
